Here is a kinda fuzzy look at what my Saturday was like. I didn't go outside at all(It was freezing and I didn't have to). I did tons of laundry and organized things. I worked on some crafts and sipped green tea. I ate a really yummy "shawangunkie chunkie" cookie. I stopped photographing in the evening, I really haven't figured out taking a photo without natural light yet. This was a fun little project to do on an uneventful Saturday,  I plan to do this again on a warmer day when I am outdoors.

Keep Calm

Things at work have been kinda crazy and stressing me out. I'm trying to be positive and instead of dwelling on the stressful hectic things, remind myself that I also had a lot of good laughs did some nice things with my co-workers this week. At home we've been burning a lot of candle and I'm really enjoying how the scent and lighting totally changes the mood in the house. The combination of a soy pumpkin spice candle, a salt lamp, and our favorite "fall leaves" incense burning makes everything better and helps me calm down after a long work week. Looking forward to an eventful yet relaxing weekend here. What do you do to relax in your home?

Lovely Lace

This is the window in my studio with a new pretty vintage lace curtain from Make Your Nest. I'm very happy with it! It lets in the perfect amount of light and looks so pretty. It came with the sweetest little birdie gift tag that will surely hang on the wall somewhere or on the fridge!

Bdrm Window

The windows in my bedroom and living room open kind of strangely- like doors opening into the room. Although it's slightly annoying since I can't put any furniture near them, it does look very pretty in the right light. The curtains were meant to be temporary though I am starting to really enjoy them here! I thrifted them a few years ago from goodwill for just a couple of bucks!

 As you can see I've been putting it to good use! And then cleaning it back up again. It feels good to be busy though!

a very Seafoam weekend

I spent the weekend with my boyfriend and his family at their home in Rockland County and I am obsessed with the interior decorating of this house. I love everything from the handmade furniture John's dad built, to the colorful pottery and dried flowers his mom sets out. Lovely home, lovely weekend. xo.

things in free bins

Guess which item from these pictures I got for free? Okay, I'll just tell you. The pink bowl/vase ceramic thing! I found it in a free bin outside of an antique store. I think it's so pretty! I wasn't sure what to use it for though, so for now it just holds all my nail polishes and junk.

New place

I hate moving. It's so much work and for reasons I wont go into I just had to move again.(This is like the 5th move in 3 years!)But this time it's to the other side of the Hudson River. So I am pretty excited about the change! especially since I now have room for a little studio space. = new apartment pictures soon!
